“和製リバティーンズ”なんて呼ばれているらしいけど、

僕はSpitzの様な毒っ気と瑞々しさを感じる。

I just got back from NYC with a pain in my right knee.
(I think this pain is from the looong flight from JFK to Narita... fuck.)

Actually, I had only 3 days to stay there, so I couldn't contact with my friends who I wanted to see,
but I was able to have great business meetings and the wander in the city during the meetings.


NYより帰国。

達郎の超絶ギターと超絶ボイスにやられます。
ベースのブギウギ感も半端ではありません。。。
聴かないと、人生で大きな損をしていることになるんです。

夏も冬も関係ない。
The Beach Boysのスイートネスは年中無休で僕を揺らす。
A面の"do you wanna dance"も最高だが、
やはりbrian wilsonの真髄はB面。

山下達郎によるカバーも完璧。
ヤマタツが唄うと“スティービー・ワンダーになりたい”とも聴き取れる。

遅ればせながら鑑賞。
非常に良く出来た映画で、色々な事にトライしているが
とっちらかった印象があまりない。

「心が揺れ動かされた映画」
というよりは
「とても感心した映画」

非常にカッコがよろしい。

これを穿いてテキサスの荒馬に乗る、という妄想が最近の流行。

・再生・再創造展/21_21 design sight

友人夫婦にお誘い頂き、オープニングレセプションへ。
再生・再創造の名の通り、
「再生ポリエステル～様々な球状のカタチ～“132 5”の衣服+照明“In-Ei”」
までの一連の流れがとても勉強になりました。

去年「石油のない時代」＋「包むカタチ-日本の美意識の再考」という
２つのワークショップをチームで考えていたが、
まさにその２つの合体＋完成形のようなエキシビションだった。

先日、再見学してきたが、2度見て2度学んだ。


people will feel what Japanese aesthetic is from this great exhibition directed by Issey Miyake.


・さんま汁/まないた

先の友人夫婦に連れられていった和食料理屋さん。
奥方の親父さんがカウンターの中で一人で切り盛りされていて、
料理はシンプルかつ豪快。
最後に出てきたさんま汁では、
舌でドラムを狂い叩き。

それと、カウンター越しからはなたれる
親父さんの一語一語の重みに、
圧倒されつつ、感銘受け、ノックダウンしそうでした。

素敵な出会いに感謝。

this Japanese restaurant is really special for me,
and I cannot go casually, but I will visit there again
when I get/lose something in my life.


・こづちスペシャル/こづち

お店のお母さんが味噌汁ひっくり返し、
それを浴び、結果おまけでこんな贅沢なランチに。

おかげ様で、ベットリしたズボンと胃痛をゲットしました。

This is how much Japanese people eat for lunch.

LEVIS VINTAGE CLOTHING TOKYO renovated the store recently.
This place is one and only, and you can find the jeans, the store original, too.
The imaginary America is superior to the real one,
and this feeling reminds of the Beach Boys.

カッコ良過ぎ。
お店にいるだけでテンション上がります。

妄想のアメリカが、現実のアメリカを超える様な。
そんな心持ちになります。

久しぶりにThe Beach Boysを聴こう。

Engineered Garmentsのデザイナー　鈴木大器さんが
クリエイティブ・ディレクターを務めるWoolrich Woolen Mills。
この2011S/Sが彼のラストコレクションです。
2011A/WからはMark Macnairyがディレクターに就任するとの事。

にしてもこの"Classic Mountaineering"がテーマのラストコレクション、カッコがよろしい。


2011 S/S is Daiki Suzuki's last collection for Woolrich Woolen Mills,
and the collection looks fuck'n cool!!
The theme of the collection is "Classic Mountaineering."

この服に腕を通すまでは、死んでも死なない！！

今度も相変わらずメチャいいです。
楽しみすぎて、来年まで寝れないな。
